Laura Lowrey

Laura E. (Deaton) Lowrey, age 61 of Galena, passed away at 4:23 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at her home.

Laura was born on April 21, 1962 to parents Robert Elliott Deaton and Anne Bradley Herndon. After growing up in Virginia, she moved to Southeast Kansas in the early 1980's. She earned her Associate's Degree and worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA) at Quaker Hill Skilled Nursing Facility for many years. She loved watching Virginia Tech and Kansas City Chiefs football games, as well as Nascar races.

She is survived by her two daughters, Weda Reed of Joplin, MO, and Kayla Rabago of Galena, KS; one sister, Marshall Deaton of the State of Virginia; her mother, Anne Herndon of Roanoke, VA; and six grandchildren, Austin Reed, Mercedes Phipps, Izauah Shoemaker, Marlee Shoemaker, Kenzie Rabago and Tridyn Rabago
