Charles Younts

Charles Wesley Younts Sr. "Chuck", 90, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in Federal Way, Washington.

Charles was born June 30,1933 in Lamar, Missouri to John Wesley and Versa Redfern Younts. Charles had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. 

As a teenager, Charles moved to Wichita, Kansas where he met and married Wilma Wyer and had 3 children.







In 1969, Charles took a transfer with Boeing as an electrician to Washington state, eventually settling in Federal Way. Years later, he traveled the world for Boeing as a Field Service Engineer, retiring with 50 years of service.

Charles found joy in the simple pleasures of watching breath-taking sunsets and having picnics with his beloved wife, showcasing his culinary skills in the kitchen, sculpting landscapes, exploring both new and familiar destinations around Washington (an experience he gained through the love of his job), casting a fishing line, going to car shows and relishing moments surrounded by friends and family.

On April 13, 1996, he married Wei Hong in Tacoma, WA; other survivors include stepdaughter Jing Liu of Federal Way, and his 3 adult children, all residing in Kansas; daughters Willetta (Bob) Dyer of Penalosa and Charlene (Malcolm Colley) Patton-Colley of Rose Hill; son Charles Wesley (Kim) Younts Jr. of Wichita; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and an older sister Delores Robinson of Olathe, Kansas.








Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main St., Kingman, Ks. Burial will be at Lerado Cemetery. Services will be live streamed on the Livingston Funeral Home Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Museum of Flight, Seattle, WA.
