Leonard Metcalf

Leonard Earl Metcalf, age 82, of Jasper, Missouri passed away January 27, 2024, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood, Missouri.

Leonard was born February 28, 1941 in Barton County, Missouri, to Earl George Metcalf and Ethel Alice (Corben) Metcalf. On October 16, 1970, Leonard married Leila Ann Greenlee in Jasper, MO.

Leonard worked as a machinist first for Steadley Company, who was later bought out by Leggett & Platt. He worked for them for over 30 years retiring in 2006. 








Leonard lived in Barton and Jasper counties most of his life. Leonard enjoyed catfishing, gardening, and yard work. He loved watching his grandkids play sports and spending time with his family, and he loved his Kansas City Chiefs.

Survivors include one son, Danny (Kyley) Metcalf, of Jasper, MO; one daughter, Della Hill (Virginia Chadbourne), of Albert Lea, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Braden, Logan, Haley, Kierstin and Xander; five great-grandchildren, Rynlee, Blair, Lakyn, Myles and Marlie; and one sister, Marlene Cox of Lamar, MO.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leila; one daughter, Debbie Metcalf and one brother-in-law, Larry Cox.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Lamar with burial to be held at Mitchell Cemetery in Jasper, MO.








The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., prior to the service, Monday, February 5, 2024 at the Church.
