Dale Laughlin

Ernest Dale Laughlin was born on September 8, 1938, in the Community of Bethpage, Missouri, one of two sons to Wm. Edgar ‘Ed’ Laughlin and Alta May (Wolfenbarger) Laughlin. He entered into rest on January 11, 2024, at the age of 85. 

Dale was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Stella High School in 1956. He worked at Eagle Picher as a foreman for twenty-two years, in addition to raising cattle and doing carpentry work. He enjoyed coon hunting, quail hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. 

On January 18, 1957, in Neosho, Missouri, Dale and Esther ‘Darlene’ Lewis were united in marriage and Darlene survives. 

 In addition to his wife of sixty-six years, Dale is survived by three sons, Terry Laughlin and wife, Gayle of Eagle Rock, Missouri, Danny Laughlin and wife, Sherry of Neosho, Missouri and Kendall Laughlin and wife, Kim of Granby; one grandson, Jason Laughlin, two granddaughters, Kristi Laughlin and Sahvonna Harp and several great grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Harp and a brother, William Glenn Laughlin. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 1 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby, Billy Jo Gentry will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hazelgreen Cemetery, Boulder City, Missouri. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home in Granby.
