Bob Snook

Robert Snook, 93, passed away peacefully at Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, on February 03, 2026. He was born on April 11, 1932, in Washburn, MO, to John and Blanche (Haddock) Snook.

Bob graduated from Exeter High School and on October 26, 1954, he married Bertha Nickle. This union was blessed with four children. Bob was a very hard-working gentleman, having worked for a logging company in Oregon during his high school years, then as a logging truck operator in Stillwater, Oklahoma with Welex for 10 years and after relocating with his family to the Springfield area, he was employed as an overnight plant manager at Zenith for an additional 27 years. 






After he retired from Xenith, Bob then began driving a school bus for both the Willard and Republic school systems. Bob was drafted into the US Army and honorably served his country during the end of the Korean War. Bob had a deep love and devotion to the Lord, attending church at Glendale Baptist, First Baptist of Clever and finally First Baptist in Republic. Bob always taught Sunday School classes at the church the family attended and served as a deacon at First Baptist in Clever. He also enjoyed holding bible study classes with his fellow members. Bob’s other past times include playing cards and dominos, taking cruises with his family as well as traveling coast to coast in the family RV.

Surviving Bob are his children, John Robert Snook and his wife Rebecca, Aaron Vincent Snook and wife Marla, Kathleen Jo Irvin and husband Gary and Michelle Ann Snook and her wife Michelle, grandchildren Robert Snook and wife Ashley, Raelynn Nichols, Jarrod Snook and wife Brooke, Jay Snook and wife Cierra, Kalee Hufferd and husband Myles, Ryan Edgar and wife Becca, Rhonda Brantley and husband Rafael, Gary Trigg Irvin, Susan Miller, Shelli Chainey-Hancock, James Robinson and Aimee Irvin, 28 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.








Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bertha of 64 years, brother Bill Snook and three infant siblings.

Family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 10-11 a.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., and Bob will be laid to rest beside his wife in Maplewood Cemetery (Exeter, MO), where Bob will receive military honors, following services in Republic.
