Caleb Bowling

(From Peterson Funeral Chapel)

Caleb Paul Bowling of Crane, MO passed away February 5, 2026. He was born July 4, 1993 in Springfield, MO. He was the beloved son of Kenny and Laquita (Mooneyham) Bowling.

Caleb enjoyed life to the fullest and wasn't afraid of hard work. At the age of 12 Caleb began working in the hay field with his dad. He was a dedicated worker that was there working his hardest until the job was done. Buying his own farming equipment, Caleb became self employed in 2018. One of Caleb's greatest enjoyments was helping others. Caleb loved riding motorcycles and has taken trips to Colorado to ride in the mountains. He also enjoyed wakeboarding and spending time at the lake.

Caleb was the oldest of his two brothers, Josh and Aaron. Caleb and Josh grew up as best friends and remained best friends into their adulthood. They always could count on each other to lend a helping hand whenever one of them needed something. With Caleb being 10 years older than Aaron, Caleb played more the roll of a second dad. He taught Aaron how to ride a motorcycle, and they enjoyed playing video games together. Caleb was a proud uncle to Lincoln who he enjoyed spending time with.

Caleb and his dad were especially close. They worked many hours together in the hay field and working on farm equipment. Caleb shared a special bond with his mom. Anytime he needed a shoulder to lean on, he went to his mom for support. The saying, “There is no greater bond than a mother and her son,” rang true for Caleb and his mom.

Caleb was fortunate to have great influence in his life, his aunts and uncles, Teresa and Mike Scheel, and Marsha and Alex Clark who loved him like their own and spent countless hours enjoying life together.

Caleb accepted Jesus into his heart at the age of 9 and was baptized when he was 12. He attended Faith Full Gospel church in Aurora. Caleb was a caring compassionate person who always tried to see the best in people. He will be greatly missed.

Caleb is survived by his parents, two brothers, Josh and Aaron, both of Crane, maternal grandparents Rex and Louella Mooneyham of Aurora, MO,; his nephew, Lincoln Bowling; Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins that will dearly miss him.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Pauline Bowling, maternal great grandparents, Horrel and Lena Wilson, special aunt and uncle John and Anna Lee.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2026 from 6 pm-8 pm in Faith Full Gospel Church. Services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in Faith Full Gospel Church with Phillip McKinley officiating under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
