Connie Demery

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Connie Marveenia Demery passed away at the age of 79 years and 4 days, at her residence in Carterville, Missouri. Connie was born to Lloyd and Joy (Hendrix) Keeton on January 27, 1947.

Connie attended school in Joplin, Missouri and graduated from Joplin High School. She married Bill Demery, on June 27, 1965. They shared 49 years of marriage, until Bill’s passing on September 27, 2014. This union was blessed with two sons, Bryan and Brent.

She spent her younger years caring for her home and children. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was well-known for her pies, cookies, and sweets in general. She often took meals and sweet treats, just because, to family, neighbors, and friends. She didn’t need a reason; she just wanted to share a blessing with those she loved.

Connie worked as a dispatcher and office administrator for the Neosho Police Department as well as the Newton County Sheriff's Department. When she wasn’t working, Connie enjoyed spending time with her friends and her dogs. She had a special fondness for her little fur babies, Sadie and Mackey.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Bryan Demery. She is survived by her son, Brent Demery of Bella Vista, Arkansas; five grandchildren Breann Demery, Bella Demery, Brandon Demery, Bradley Demery, and Cheyenne Weter; one great-granddaughter, Braylee Barlow; and her sister, Jerri Miller and husband Mike of Carl Junction, Missouri.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Clark Funeral Homes.
