Jo Chapman

Rosa Joan “Jo” (Beaver) Chapman was born February 20, 1932 in Stella, MO to George Irvin and Dora (Kirk) Beaver. Jo’s siblings who preceded her are Ima Jean Beaver, Gloria Nadene McLean (Robert), Douglas Irvin Beaver (Jerrie), Barbara June Webb (Carl), Jerry Dale Beaver (Jolene), Marvin Royce Beaver (Linda), George Ronald Beaver and Dickie Nolan Beaver.

Currently Linda Jane Pope (Michael) live in Eagle Point, Oregon, Peggy Darlene McKinney (William) live in Aurora, MO and Debra Helen Beaver live in Redding, CA.






Jo met the love of her life while attending Pierce City School. She married Charles Edward Chapman, November 27, 1947, they were married seventy-seven years. Charlie passed April 9, 2024. He was born on February 20, 1927. He and Jo shared the same birthday, he was five years older. His parents were Maro Christopher Chapman and Bertha Augusta Hill. His siblings who preceded him are James Harold Chapman (Alma), Evelyn Ramsey (Floyd), Juanita Hayes (Otis), William Chapman (Willadene) and Fred Chapman.

Jo & Charlie moved to Central Valley in Northern California in 1950 with their two-year-old son who was born August 20, 1948, Edward Joseph Chapman (Gloria). Three years later their daughter Carol Lynn (Chapman) Morin (Frank) was born in Redding, CA, on January 2, 1951.

Jo’s Family lived in Northern California and Charlie was a General Contractor who built many homes. They returned to their roots at the Chapman farm in 1994. Jo continued her passion for quilting and canning. Most importantly Jo and Charlie rededicated their lives to Jesus Christ in 1983 and never looked back.








Their granddaughters are Laura Janel (Chapman) Hensley (Jason), Hosanna Rachel (Morin) Coleman (Brian). Great grandsons are Michael Heeter, Jacob Heeter, Nate Hensley, Ethan Hensley and Brien James (BJ) Coleman. Their great granddaughter is Eymi Chava Coleman.

The Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Calvary Chapel of Monett, 310 5th Street, Monett. Pastor Dennis Burge will officiate. Interment will follow in the Jolly Mill Cemetery, Pierce City. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the James Robinson Life Outreach International. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
