(From Koehn Brothers Funeral Home)Nina Dian Stirling, age 73, of Carthage, MO passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. Graveside service will be Saturday, April 4 at 11:00 am at Milltown Cemetery near Milltown.
Nina Dian Stirling was born in Kansas City, KS on Monday, December 8, 1952; the daughter of Earl and Mabel (Rimmer) Whinery. Nina married Richard Stirling on Friday, December 18, 1987, in Olivet, SD. She loved to play Bingo, sew, play card games, watch the game show network, and bird watching. She was a member of Standing at the Cross Christian Church in Carthage, MO.
Nina was very family oriented and enjoyed time with her family or talking to them on the telephone. She will be missed.
Grateful for having shared her life are her stepdaughter, Cherie Stirling of South Dakota; four grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren; a niece, JoAnna Lowe of Kansas City, KS; a nephew, Billy Duggins of Kansas City, KS; a sister, Ruby Tavis of Kansas City, KS; 4 brothers-in-law: Wallace F. Stirling, Vincent Stirling, Stanford Stenson and Bane Stirling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mabel Whinery; husband, Richard; sister, Teresa Whitledge; brother, Michael Whinery; and a stepson, Paul Stirling.
