Rosamary Hamilton

Rosamary Josephine (Stark) Hamilton, age 87 of Neosho, passed away at her home at 5:05 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Rosamary was born in Galena, KS on August 6, 1938 to the union of Evin Andrew Stark and Viola Josephine (Hill) Stark. Her early years were spent living in Galena, and the family later moved to Joplin, MO where she graduated high school.

She was united in marriage with Dave L. Hamilton in Iron Gates, MO on November 5, 1966. He preceded her in death in December of 2017.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Evin and Viola; one sister, Evelyn Stansberry; and one brother, Andrew Stark.

Survivors include two sons, Leroy Hamilton (wife, Pam) of Miami, OK, Davie Hamilton (wife, Michelle) of Neosho, MO; one daughter, Mary Allen (husband, Eugene) of Neosho, MO; one brother, Robert Lee Stark of Joplin; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Rosamary was diligent in her work as a homemaker, tending to all aspects of the farm while her husband was away at work. Her free time was often spent with puzzles, word searches, reading, and caring for her dogs. She dearly loved her family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena. Chaplain Roger Flint will officiate. Pallbearers serving will be DJ Welsh, Jake Welsh, Shane Hamilton, Eugene Reynolds, Tim Reed, and Kayden Welsh. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery of Galena.

Visitation will take place at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 and conclude at the beginning of the service.
