(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Betty E. Green, 93, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Oak Pointe Nursing Center in Carthage. She was born on November 20, 1932, in Castleton, Kansas, to Lester and Leta Clark. Betty has been a resident of the area since 1975 after moving here from Colorado. She worked for Diamond Livestock for several years then as a teller at Southwest Missouri Bank from where she retired.
Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Avilla. She liked to quilt and sew and made many blankets for Life Choices and the Pregnancy Care Center of Springfield, Missouri.
She was joined in marriage to Howard Green on June 25, 1951, in Raton, New Mexico; he preceded her in death on November 19, 2017.
Betty is survived by four sons, Lance Green (Nancy) of Carthage, Mark Green (Jill) of Fair Grove, Les Green (Debbie) of Borger, Texas, and Gary Green of Mosquero, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Jess Green, Suzanne Kaslon, Jake Green, Erin Smith, Josh Green, Michele Baxter, Laura Johnson, Jana MacLachlan, Jared Green, Nicole Ragsdale, and Noelle Terry; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard; her parents, Lester and Leta Clark; her brother, Charles Clark, her granddaughter Cammi Scott, and her daughter-in-law Janice Green.
There will be a funeral service for Betty at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jasper, Missouri immediately following the service.
