David Fisher

(From Parker Mortuary)

David Lee Fisher, 61, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away on June 14, 2026, after an extended illness.

He was born on February 20, 1965, in Joplin, Missouri, and spent his life rooted in the community he loved. David was known by those who knew him best as a funny, spirited, and friendly man whose presence could brighten a room and whose laughter was often remembered long after a visit ended. He carried himself with a warm personality and a genuine kindness that made him easy to be around and difficult to forget.

David worked for many years as a commercial business cleaner and also took on other jobs as they came along. His willingness to take on whatever came his way reflected his dependable nature and steady character.

Faith was an important part of David’s life. He was a Christian and a member of Faith Holiness Church of Joplin. He also visited many other churches to hear God’s Word, and he found comfort and encouragement in worship and fellowship. His faith was a guiding part of his life, and it gave him strength through both good times and difficult ones.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert Fisher and Betty Sprouse-Seavers; his grandparents; his sister, Joyce DeGonia; his brothers, Mike Fisher, Larry Johnson and William “Bill” Fisher. Their memories remained close to him throughout his life, and he carried the influence of family with him in the way he lived and treated others.

He is survived by his sister, Sheila Gardner and her husband Greg of Joplin, Missouri; nephews and nieces and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
