Jack Brodie

Jack Wayne Brodie, 84, of Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest on June 22, 2026, at Neosho Medical Lodge.

Jack was born on January 9, 1942, in Jane, Missouri, to Grover and Linda (Arnold) Brodie. He graduated from Pineville High School in 1960 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On November 8, 1963, Jack married the love of his life, Sue Nims, at the Full Gospel Church in Goodman, Missouri. Together they shared more than six decades of marriage and built a loving family. 








Jack was a hardworking and dedicated businessman who owned and operated Brodie Backhoe Service for many years. In his younger days, he enjoyed racing stock cars and could often be found competing at 71 Speedway in Neosho. He especially cherished spending time fishing with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

A faithful Christian, Jack was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ in Neosho for over 30 years. He also enjoyed fellowship and friendship as a regular attendee of the Neosho McDonald's Coffee Club.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Sue Brodie; four children, Peggy Link and husband Lance, Angie Fletcher and husband Craig, Karen Duda and husband Bronson, and Eric Brodie and wife Shannon; nine grandchildren, Morgan Armstrong and husband Colton, Alex Link and wife Emma, Olivia Link, Dalton Brodie, Jaydee Duda, Barron Duda, Kloe Stout, Aiden Brodie, and Nathan Fletcher; and two great-grandchildren, Edie Link and Ruby Link. 








He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Linda Brodie, and eleven siblings.

Jack will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to his family, his faith, and the many friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His kindness, sense of humor, and love for those around him will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hillcrest Church of Christ in Neosho on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., with the memorial service immediately following. No graveside service will be held.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided to Jack and his loved ones throughout his final days.

The family also extends their heartfelt appreciation to all who have offered prayers, support, and expressions of sympathy during this time.
