Glenda Collins

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Glenda Mae Collins passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 86 years, 7 months, and 29 days old. She was born on October 22, 1939, in Spiro, Oklahoma.

Glenda grew up in Oklahoma, and as an adult lived in both California and Oklahoma, moving between the two a few times with her husband, Jack Collins and their two daughters. After the death of her husband, Jack, she moved from Jay, Oklahoma to Neosho, Missouri to be closer to family.

While in Ojai, California, Glenda worked as a supervisor at Grey Gables, a home for retired teachers. She was a valued employee and wonderful friend to the residents, who was greatly missed after her retirement. After moving back to Jay, she worked for a short time as a Greeter at Wal-Mart.

When she took time to slow down, Glenda loved to crochet. She made numerous gorgeous afghans that she lovingly gifted to family members. She was a devout Christian, and a member of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed reading, especially Christian books. She loved houseplants, even though they never seemed to last long once they came home with her. When they died, she would just replace them. She was a wonderful baker. Her girls have fond memories of her making chocolate fudge for Christmas, and many other sweet treats including no bake cookies.

Glenda is survived by her daughters, Barbara Lachner (Steve) and Brenda Owens (Phillip), both of Neosho, Missouri; her two grandchildren, Mike Moy (Karen) of Neosho, Missouri, and Ryan Collins (Nicole) of Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Brooke, Avery, and Reese Collins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally (Love) Autry, and the father of her children, Jack Collins.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Clark Funeral Homes
