Linda Newton

Linda Newton, 81, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 14th, 2026. She was born on July 6th 1944.

Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply and was always happiest when surrounded by the people she cared for most.

She is survived by her sister Vicki Ramirez, and brother Clay Bridgett. She leaves behind her two surviving children, Anna Burns (husband Christopher Burns), and David Delgado (wife Terah Delagdo), all of Jacksonville, NC.








Linda was a beloved grandmother to nine grandchildren: Michael Justice, Nicholas Blackmon, Taylor Blackmon, Zach Matteson, Kyle Daggett, Audrea Sanchez, Robert (Boo) Sanchez, Kyli, and Aysling Delgado. She was also blessed with 10 beautiful great-grandchildren, who all brought her much happiness and pride.

Linda's life was filled with memories, love, and simple joys. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing Grand Lake, and spending time outdoors. She was known for her love of cooking and the meals she shared with those she loved. In her later years, she enjoyed playing slot machines, going to bingo with her sister, and making memories with her family.








She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kennith Newton ("Grandpa"); her sister, Marjorie Nava ("Aunt Tia"); her daughter Tony Perez; and her son Robert Sanchez Jr.

Linda will be remembered for her caring heart, her love of family, her warm presence, and the many memories she created with those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who cherished her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
