Scott Marbut

Edward “Scott” Marbut, age 65, of San Antonio, Texas passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his residence.

He was born July 13, 1960, in San Antiono, Texas, the son of Stanley Edward and Patsy Ann (Miller) Marbut.

Surviving are his sister, Pamela Lane of League City, Texas; niece, Callison Carnes and nephews, Timothy Lane and wife Erica, Cooper Davis, and Everett Lane.

Preceding him in death were his father, Stanley Marbut and mother, Patsy "Pat" Marbut, who passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 and his brother, Christy Lee Marbut.








Scott grew up and attended school in San Antonio, graduating from Oliver Wendall Holmes High School in 1978. He continued his education at Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas, earning an Associate Degree in Diesel Technology. Scott was employed by the United States Civil Service as a logistics specialist. He was of the Baptist faith.

Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2026 at Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jason Mackey will officiate. A private burial will be held at Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Friday, July 3, 2026 at Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy.
