(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Julie Diane Hanford-Rogers, age 65, passed away at her home on Friday, June 19, 2026 following an illness.
Julie was born in Joplin, MO on July 15, 1960 to the union of Robert Clay Clark and Peggy Frances (Cooper) Clark. She graduated from Joplin Memorial High School with the class of 1978, and later moved to Union Chapel north of Galena, KS in 1985, the neighborhood that she called home for the past four decades. She had worked for Dairy Queen in Galena for over 15 years, developing close friendships with the Rataczak family as they managed it, and most recently worked as the Kitchen Manager at Casey's General Store in Galena. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed caring for her flower beds and painting.
Survivors include two sons, Joshua Haase of Galena, and Micah Haase (wife, Mandy) of Norman, OK; one daughter, Sarah Cerrano (husband, Daniel) of Galena; three sisters, Carrie Gourley (husband, Didway) of Joplin, MO, Jamie Triplett of Galena, and Peggy Clark of Joplin; one brother, Robert Clark (wife, Leeannna) of Webb City, MO; eleven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Peggy Clark; and one grandson, Skylar Haase.
Julie has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2026 at Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena, followed by a visitation concluding at 6:00 PM.
