(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Shelley Renée VanStavern, 55, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Shelley was stubborn, strong-willed, and cared deeply for those she loved. She loved the ocean and dreamed of one day living in the Carolinas. As many would say, she knew how to party and have a good time, which is how she met some of her closest and best friends.
Above all else, Shelley loved being “Jamma” to her grandchildren. Not a day went by without her talking about Adilee and Casen or sharing stories about them with anyone who would listen. They brought her immense pride and joy.
Shelley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and has been reunited with her Dad and Grandma Jones.
