(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Dennis Porter, 62, of Carthage, Missouri passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 2, 1963, to Paris Porter and Patricia “Pliler” Rowland, in Joplin, Missouri. Dennis worked for Stratumn Nutrition as an ESM Tech. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was an administrator for the C47 Skytrain Facebook page and a part of the Mavric Car Club. He loved cars, doing cosplay with his son at Naka-con, nature walks, and bicycling.
Dennis is survived by his son, Travis Porter of Carthage; a stepson, Timmy Davis; and four sisters, Mary Moorehouse (Allen) of Carthage, Barbara Mather (Steve) of Webb City, Beth, and Paralee Beckley.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Mitchell and sister Susan Mann.
At this time, Dennis will be cremated per his wishes, and a celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
