(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Myra Orlena Simpson, 70, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away at the St. Luke’s Nursing Center on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Myra was born in Farmington, New Mexico, to the late Lowell and Carolyn Allred, on November 17, 1955. She was a hairstylist at her own salon which was named Get Spoiled. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and she enjoyed crocheting.
She was united in marriage to Jim Simpson in December of 2023; he survives.
Other survives include her daughter Quinessa Passey (Preston) of Carthage; four brothers, Jim Allred, Clay Allred, Damon Allred, and Donny Allred; two sisters, Shaneesta Coker and Nicole Allred; four granddaughters, Talia Passey, Cherith Peppers, Kamarah Buffington, and Marrae Miller; and five great grandchildren, Baelor, Preston, Nora, Vincent, and Everly.
Per her wishes, Myra will be cremated. Her family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
