Mr. Larry Edward McKinney, 59, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, after a sudden illness.
Larry entered this life on August 10, 1958, in Nyssa, Oregon, born to the union of the late Clyde Edward and Mary Ann (Matthews) McKinney. He was raised and attended school in McDonald County Missouri. Larry was a truck driver throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, muscle cars and time spent with his family. His soft spoken gentle demeanor will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Stephen McKinney.
Larry is survived by his three children, Aundrea Self of Goodman, Missouri, Sarah House of Neosho, Missouri and Melody McKinney of Neosho, Missouri; a Godson, Joshua Shere of Anderson, Missouri; seven grandchildren; a brother, James “Danny” McKinney of Pineville, Missouri; two sisters, Susan Stout of Joplin, Missouri and Shelly McKinney of Anderson, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services for Mr. McKinney are 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Scott Leonard officiating. Visitation will follow the service until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in the Lee Cemetery near Sulphur Springs, Arkansas.
