Dan Stone

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Mr. Dan Dean Stone, 64, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas, after a brief illness.

Dan entered this life on December 10, 1954, in Pittsburg, Kansas, son of the late David Allen “Dude” and Vivian Delores “Blondie” (Gerold) Stone. He was raised in Parsons, Kansas and was a 1972 graduate of Parsons High School.

In 1972 the family moved to Anderson, Missouri, where Dan Stone Construction was founded later that same year. Dan worked construction and helped his parents in the family business, Stone IGA, located on Main Street in Anderson. He also owned Stone Auto Body, the Daylight Donut Shop as well as Rollin Stones Rec. Center with locations in Anderson, Noel and Seneca, Missouri.

Dan eventually sold his other endeavors and focused solely on construction, a profession he dearly enjoyed. He loved old cars, woodworking, camping, visiting, tending to the needs of his property and spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. His talented hands of craftsmanship will remain evident for many years to come.

On August 9, 1974, he was united in marriage to Gloria Bemiss and together they have shared the last forty-five years.
