Richard S. “Dick” Taylor, 80 passed away August 29, 2019 at his home in Joplin. Dick was born January 26, 1939 in Carthage Missouri to Paul and Edna “Page” Taylor. He was raised in the Jasper Missouri area and attended schools there.
Dick worked in refrigeration for Joe Harding for 33 years retiring as a service manager. He enjoyed fishing and retired to the Stockton lake area. He enjoyed his grandkids very much.
Dick was united in marriage to Flora Fern Stuckey September 4, 1960 in Jasper, Missouri, she survives.
Dick is survived by two sons Wes Taylor and wife Gina of Joplin and Brad Taylor and wife Georgia of Joplin; six grandchildren Jeremy Taylor, Jessica Maynard (Dalton), Jake Taylor, Zachary Taylor (Tawnee), Priscilla Simon (Logan), Valerie Keyser (Chase); and nine great grandchildren.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Alford Taylor and one great grandchild.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 31, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday August 30, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Regional Hospice in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolence can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
