Iva McDonald

Mrs. Iva A. McDonald, 98, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family.

Iva entered this life on February 12, 1921, to the union of the late Ola and Lenna (Willoughby) Carver. She was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School.

On November 15, 1941 she was united in marriage to Harley F. McDonald, together they shared sixty years until his passing on March 20, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of Reeds Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and will be truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Glen Carver and Kathleen Dyer.








Iva is survived by her children, James McDonald (Linda) of Bixby, Oklahoma, Jerry McDonald (Karen) of Carthage, Missouri, Larry McDonald (Cathy) of Quapaw, Oklahoma and Nancy Greathouse (Roy) of Sarcoxie, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. McDonald are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, with Pastor Mike Ford officiating. Interment will follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Heath Greathouse, Curtis Greathouse, Mark DeMasters, Jacob McDonald, Landon Greathouse, Dakota McDonald and Tom Greathouse. Honorary pallbearers are Billy McDonald, Dillon Pyle, Brian McDonald, Riley McDonald, Breckin Galardo and Jimmy McDonald. Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 6-8:00 pm. The family has directed memorial contributions to the Sarcoxie Nursing Center, in care of the funeral home.
