Marcel Fischbacher

Marcel Henry Fischbacher, age 78, of Golden City, Missouri passed away August 26, 2019, at his home.

Marcel was born February 15, 1941 in Canyon, TX to Albert Fischbacher and Gertrude (Schwager) Fischbacher.

Marcel was a cattleman and pig farmer in the Golden City area for the past 38 years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lamar. Marcel took great pride in his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He enjoyed working on his farms, raising cattle and pigs and had a gift for diagnosing and treating sick animals. His Catholic faith was very important to him and included a strong devotion to the rosary, which his family will always have special memories of praying with him.








Survivors include a son, Marcel Fischbacher and his wife Sheila, Dumas, TX; two daughters, Tammy Rusher and husband Joe, Canyon Lake, TX and Kim Boyd and husband Paul, Amarillo, TX; former spouse Margie Eddie; one brother, Joe Fischbacher; three sisters, Mary Brorman, Tillie Kline, and Anita Wilhelm; eight grandchildren, Christopher Fischbacher, Corey Fischbacher, Callie Maynard, Jessica Barrows, Candice Woods, Brooke Rusher, Kameron Boyd, Colby Boyd; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding Marcel in death were his parents, an infant sister, an infant brother, one sister and two brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am., Saturday, August 31, 2019, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. A Rosary service will at 8:00 p.m. following the visitation.
