Shirley Anne Talbot, 82, of Baxter Springs, KS passed from this life on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Quaker Hill Skilled Nursing Facility.
Shirley was born August 11, 1937 in rural Baxter Springs, KS to the union of Willard Robert and Audrey (Price) Marsh. Shirley was united in marriage to Jerry Nicholas Talbot on July 5, 1958. Shirley was a homemaker most of her life, loving and caring for her husband and three boys. She enjoyed listening to music and was known to be a fantastic cook. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Baxter Springs for many years.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Talbot; sister, Bernice Ransom.
Shirley is survived by three sons, Michael Talbot and wife Martha of Coffeyville, KS, Brian Talbot and wife Janet of Joplin, MO, and Larry Talbot and wife Sylvia of Webb City, MO; brother, Galen Marsh of California; two sisters, Carolyn Long of Carl Junction, MO, and Linda Young of Baxter Springs, KS; six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2019 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Pastor Randy DePriest will officiate. Burial will follow in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 p.m., until service time at the chapel. Memorial donations may be made to First Assembly of God Church, Coffeyville, KS in care of the funeral home or by mailing them to the church at 1504 W. 8th St., Coffeyville, KS 67337.
