Everett Marvin Brummett 89, of Mindenmines, MO died 3:39 a.m. Wednesday September 27, 2017 at his home following an illness.
Marvin was born November 26, 1927 in Rich Hill, MO the son of E.L. Sonny and Blanche (Prine) Brummett. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Mindenmines High School in 1945.
On October 20, 1946 Marvin married Lucille Victoria Lucietta in Pittsburg, KS; she preceded him in death on April 22, 2014. Marvin worked for W.S. Dickey Clay in Pittsburg, KS; Kennett Paint and Wallpaper and later a self-employed contractor in Pittsburg, KS.
Marvin was a member of the Mindenmines Christian Church; loved to hunt, fish and was known as a great area basketball player in his early years.
Survivors include his children David Brummett and wife Linda Jane of Mindenmines, MO; Marcie Bonin and husband Art of Oakland, CA and Linda Kay McKay and husband Bob of Mindenmines, MO; grandchildren Aaron Brummett, Amanda Ruocco, Andrew Bonin, Matt McKay and Sunnye Junker; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother James Brummett and sister Sue Naccarato.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Friday September 29, 2017 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS with Pastor Dan Moss officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry, KS. Family will receive friends from 10-11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Mindenmines Christian Church.
