Sharon L. Caviness-Gray was born Sept. 2, 1942 in Petrolia, Kansas and entered into rest on Sept. 15, 2017 in Joplin, following a sudden illness at the age of 75 years and 13 days.
Sharon graduated from Wichita Kansas West High School and had lived in Wichita and Springfield prior to moving to the Newton County area. She was an Elvis Presley fan, enjoyed NASCAR, square dancing, nature and most of all her family.
She is survived by five children, Terry Ray Clarkson of Granby; Tracey Allen Clarkson and wife, Sandra of Oklahoma City, OK; Robin 'Renee' Clarkson-Hobbs of Granby; Jamie Lynn Clarkson-Jennings and husband, Dan of Stella and Brian Dean Gray of Fairview; her mother, Jean Risley of California; one brother, James Thomas White and wife, Joyce of Tulsa, OK; three sisters, Debbie Caviness-Hord of Wichita, KS; Krista Koons of California and Wendy Colburn of Seattle, WA; fourteen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father and step mother, Howard and Mary Caviness; Step father, Daddy Joe Koons and sister, Vicky Rice.
