William G. “Skip” Hoover, age 70, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage.
Skip was born January 4, 1947 in Joplin and was a lifetime Joplin resident. He was employed as a Maintenance Specialist with Mid America Precision Products Co. Skip was a member of several car clubs and enjoyed riding his Harley.
Skip married Wanda Harmon September 9, 1983 in Miami, Ok. and she survives. Additional survivors include a son, Jeff Hoover, a daughter, Lori Prichard, a sister, Sonjia Owens and husband Norm, and two brothers in law, Jack Harmon and Jerry Harmon and wife Maria. Skip was preceded in death by a daughter, Allie Whitmore, and a sister, Monte Guido.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hornet Cemetery with friends and family officiating. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
