Ruby G. Flynn, 83 years, of Noel, Missouri was called to Heaven on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the McDonald County living center in Anderson, Missouri.
After several years of battling the awful disease of Dementia/Alzheimer’s. Ruby is now free of pain and confusion.
Ruby was born on December 29, 1933 at Pineville, Missouri to the late Rueben and Alpha (Wilkerson) Morgan. She married the love of her life, Jack Flynn on June 4, 1952 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. To this marriage they were blessed with 4 children. Ricky Flynn, Jeffery Flynn, Paula Flynn Metcalf and Randall Flynn. Ruby and Jack lead an exciting life while traveling the world while Jack served in the United States Army for 23 years. Ruby always made whatever base they were stationed at a Home before they would move to the next Base. Ruby and Jack moved back to Noel, Missouri in 1973 for good. Ruby worked several jobs but 2 or her favorites were the Donut Shop in Anderson and Bella Vista and Sham’s Pizza in Noel, Missouri. She always knew what everyone wanted when the stepped in the door. Ruby also stamped Christmas Cards each year at the Noel Post Office. She had her picture and an article about her one year and she was so excited! Ruby was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Noel, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Flynn and a son, Randy Flynn.
Ruby is survived by her children, Ricky Flynn of Noel, Missouri, Jeffery Flynn and wife Sondra also of Noel and Paula Flynn Metcalf of Grandview, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Heather Flynn, Jeremiah Flynn, Erik Largent, Brandi Mullens, Lindsey Walters, Shannon Carrier, Dusty Flynn and Madelyn Flynn; eleven great grandchildren, Cade Flynn, Joseph Flynn, Lucas Flynn, Mackenzie Largent, Addyson Mullens, Blake Mullens, Maxwell Carrier, Cecilia Carrier, Lucille Carrier, Lennon Walters and Emerson Walters; Ruby had many nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law and friend Billy Flynn. Ruby will be missed by so many people that knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Ruby will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Brother John Mark Payne will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Lanagan Cemetery in Lanagan, Missouri. Visitation will be held from noon until 2:00 pm on Friday, September 15, 2017 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark funeral home. The family will receive friends at this time.
