Jordan W. McConnell, 16, Carthage, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his home. Jordan Wayne McConnell was born February 20, 2001 in Joplin, MO to Richard McConnell and Steffanie (Meister) McConnell. He was a junior at Carthage High School and was on the tennis team and had been on cross country. Jordan attended Forest Park Church in Carthage and was very active member of Young Life.
Survivors include his parents, and one brother, Jayden A. McConnell, Carthage. Grandparents Frank and Judy Meister, Pittsburg, KS; Cindy Tilley, Carthage; and Darrell McConnell, Carthage. Great Grandparents Jim and Della French, Carthage; Hershel Meister, Carthage, MO; Wayne and Lorie Gillman, Aransas Pass, TX; Norman and Cleva Knight, Carthage, MO. Aunts include Rachel McConnell, Jessica McConnell, Libby and Tim Snethen, and Kayla Meister and several cousins and numerous relatives.
Preceded in death by his grandma, Denise McConnell.
Visitation will be held 6-8 pm, Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Forest Park Church, Carthage. Memorial services will be held 10 am, Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Forest Park Church. Ministers Greg Walker and Chris Holman will officiate. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial gifts are suggested to Young Life in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W.
