Hazel M. Norris, age 100, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 7:10 p.m. Sunday September 24, 2017 at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin following a lengthy illness. Hazel was born March 27, 1917 in Strausburg, Colorado and had lived in Joplin since 1989. She and her late husband were farmers. Hazel was a member of College Heights Christian Church.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Norris, three brothers, and six sisters. She is survived by her sister Mildred, of Grandview, Mo. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Cemetery with Rick Bushnell, Minister, officiating. Friends may call at the Mortuary Tuesday afternoon until the service on Wednesday. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
