Lloyd Allen, Jr., age 65, of Butterfield, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Mr. Allen, son of Lloyd Allen, Sr. and Opal (Cox) Gryder, was born on September 20, 1951, in Aurora. He was a 1969 Aurora High School graduated and subsequently enlisted in the United States Army serving his country proudly for four years. On May 18, 1974, he was united in marriage to Darlene Garrett in Butterfield. Mr. Allen worked as a maintenance supervisor at Cargile in Butterfield for thirty-three years and retired in February of 2015. He loved spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR and drag racing. Mr. Allen enjoyed every opportunity he could get to work on cars with his sons and close family member John Farris. He was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Darlene Allen, of Butterfield; three sons, Randy Tully and his wife Linda, of Butterfield, Gene Allen and his wife Mary, of Rocky Comfort, and Brad Allen and his wife Tracey, of Rogersville; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Steve Gryder, Dale Gryder, and Les Gryder; two sisters, Kathy Gryder and Christine Gryder; and several nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother and granddaughter.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Rick “Tator” Scott officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
