Charissa A. Nolen, age 39, Joplin, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at a local nursing center after an illness.
Charissa was born November 14, 1977 in Joplin to Gary Lankford and Mary Jones Lankford and was a lifetime Joplin resident.
She attended Joplin schools and worked in the deli department at Wal-Mart for several years.
Charissa married Chip Nolen on October 20, 2007 in Joplin. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Garrett Pittman, Joplin; parents, Gary and Mary Lankford, Carl Junction; grandfather, Tommy Jones, Joplin; mother and father-in-law, Roma and Roy Nolen; sister, Erin Wilkerson and husband, Todd, Carl Junction; brother, Mark Lankford; nieces, Kaylie Lankford and Amariah Wilkerson; nephews, Jack Lankford, Isaiah and Uriah Wilkerson, Harrison Lankford; aunt, Kim Jones; and many other cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
No formal services are planned.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
