Thelma Ashworth

Thelma Thedabara Ashworth of Miami, OK, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her home. She was 100.

Thelma was born December 4, 1916 in Joplin, MO. to Edgar and Maude (Thornton) Bradford. She was a homemaker. She had lived in Miami for the past year moving from St. Joseph, MO, prior to that she had lived in Joplin for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Joplin, MO.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Laurel Cary Ashworth August 28, 1984, 2 sons Bill Ashworth and Timothy Ashworth, her parents, 2 brothers Dick Bradford and Jack Bradford and her sister Bevelyn Bacon.

Survivors include 2 sons, Micheal Ashworth of St. Joseph, MO, and Paul Ashworth of Miami, OK, her daughter Linda Watkins of Joplin, MO, 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Monday September 18, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Hornet Cemetery in Hornet, MO. Bishop Russ Kemp will officiate.
