Daniel Lee Martin, Sr., 53, Neosho, entered into rest on Sept. 21, 2017 at Freeman Neosho ER, following a sudden illness. Daniel was born Dec. 19, 1963 in Neosho and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the U. S. Army and the National Guard. He currently worked for the East Newton School District as a custodian. He was a member and Master Mason of the Neosho Masonic Lodge, was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite in Joplin. He was a member of the Racine Christian Church. Daniel and Lori (Walker) were married on Feb. 9, 1985 in Kansas City, MO and she survives. Additional survivors include his mother, Starlene Martin of Granby; two children, Daniel Lee Martin, Jr. and wife, Tara of Princeton, MO and Zachary W. Martin and wife, Jenny of Richmond, MO; one brother, Lawrence Martin, Jr of Joplin and three sisters, Hannah Moad of Springfield, Mary Ann Enslow of Joplin and Rebecca Farris of Haslet, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence E. Martin, Sr.
Services will be held on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby, Pastor John St. Clair will officiate. Full Military Honors and Interment will follow in the Granby Memorial Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Zachary W. Martin, Daniel Lee Martin, Jr., Levi Enslow, Trey Enslow, Bill Moore and Jari Jacobs. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby. Contributions in memory of Daniel may be made to the Shriner’s Burn Hospital, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 26, Granby, MO 64844.
