Jason Lynn Hall-Box was born August 3, 1996 in Boise, Idaho. He entered into rest on Sept. 12, 2017 in Joplin at the age of 21 from injuries sustained from a vehicle accident.
Jason moved to the area in 1997 and was a college student. He graduated from Neosho High School in 2015 and was an accomplished wrestler. He was a three times state wrestling qualifier and a two time state medalist.
Jason is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kris Box and Bret Smith of Neosho; his father, Adam Hall and wife, Jennifer of Joplin; two brothers, Trevor Box and Dustin Smith and wife, Kasi and niece, Emma of Neosho; one sister, Grace Box of Neosho; paternal grandparents, Randy and Miki Hall of Boise, Idaho; Jim and Cyndi Munsell of Seneca and Richard and Joedy Greninger of Joplin; maternal grandparents, Geannie and Donny Phelps of Cheyenne, WY and Eugene and Catherine Smith of Diamond; great grandmother, Shirley Hyso of Monett and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at 2 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho. Private family interment will follow at Gibson Cemetery. There will be a reception for family and friends at the United Methodist Church CLC from 5 pm to 8 pm. Contributions may be made to Jason Box Memorial Wrestling Fund c/o Arvest Bank.
