Kenneth E. Russow, 79, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Kenneth was born September 21, 1937 in Carthage, Missouri to Charles Russow, Sr. and Vesta Leen “Bledsoe” Russow.
He was a longtime resident of the Carthage/Joplin area and worked as an electrician at Leggett & Platt and Lozier’s of Joplin, from which he retired. Kenneth was a member of Joplin Heights Baptist Church and a Mason in the Masonic Lodge of Joplin; he was also a former Grand Master of the lodge.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Linda West on October 2, 2015 in Miami, Oklahoma; she survives.
Kenneth is also survived by one son, Charles Madison Russow of West Palm Beach, Florida; two daughters, Janice Jones and Cindy Miller, both of Carterville, Missouri; one half-brother, Danny Russow of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Carolyn Knight of Joplin and Linda Payne of Wichita, Kansas.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage.
