Ruth Latty, 98 years, formerly of Lanagan, Missouri was called to Heaven on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the St. Lukes Nursing Center in Carthage, Missouri.
Ruth was born in Anderson, Missouri on April 10, 1919 to the late Andrew J. and Emily D. (Allen) Taylor. She married Paul A. Latty on June 12, 1937. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Lanagan. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Lanagan, Missouri. Ruth, Ruby Jones and Avis Testerman, would take walks every day, going by the church to water the plants and flowers that they had planted, they were also the custodians of the church, cleaning every Friday. This loving group would also take care of the Lanagan Cemetery, sitting there over the Memorial Day Weekend, decorating the graves and helping families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul A. Latty; son-in-law, Joe Pruitt; grandson, Kevin Pruitt; five brother and two sisters.
Ruth is survived by her children, Helen Louise Pruitt of Nixa, Missouri, Linda White and husband, Lee of Scottsdale, Arizona; Steve Latty and wife, Tracee of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Joe Kent (Rhona), Kim Pruitt, Scott White (Reiko), Dana Brinkman (John), Gina Janusek and Annie Latty; several great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends that will dearly miss Ruth. The Latty family holds, Joy Dixon dear in their hearts for the care she gave to Ruth.
Graveside funeral services for Ruth will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Lanagan Cemetery in Lanagan, Missouri. Pastor Doris Schlessman will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Lanagan Cemetery Association in care of the funeral home.
