Bob L. York, 87, Diamond, died Sept. 23, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK, following a short illness.
Mr. York was born Jan. 24, 1930 in Houston, MO and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and last worked for G and H Ready Mix. He enjoyed fishing and attended the Diamond Baptist Church.
Bob and Emma (Story) were married on June 21, 1947 and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2009. He is survived by one son, Charles York and wife, Jillene of Neosho; one granddaughter, Christen York of Neosho and his companion, Sue Wilson of Tulsa, OK. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Jason York.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at 2 pm at the Diamond Cemetery, Pastor Ron Crow will officiate. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home Neosho on Thursday from 9 am until 5 pm. Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to the Kidney Foundation, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
