Gertrude Allene White, age 63, of Stotts City, MO died on Friday, September 08, 2017, at her home in Stotts City, MO. Mrs. White was born in Monett, MO on Sunday, December 20, 1953. She was the daughter of Basil and Pansy (Harrow) Bowman. She married Rodney White on Wednesday, December 20, 1972, in Stotts City, MO. Mrs. White was the City Clerk for Stotts City and a second mom to many.
Surviving are the following: her husband, Rodney of the home; a loving friend that was like a daughter to her, Ashley Reed and husband, David, and their daughter, Willow, of Stotts City, MO; two sisters, Mary Heidlage and husband, Mike, of Sarcoxie, MO and Arlene Roethemeier and husband, Harlen, of Stotts City, MO; one brother, Robert Bowman and wife, Janice, of Stotts City, MO. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shannen, in 1987; her mother; her dad; and two sisters.
Memorial services will be at Stotts City First Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, beginning at 7:00 PM with Rev. Tim Blankenship officiating. Visitation will follow the memorial service. Burial will be at a later date.
Mrs White has been cremated at her request under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Stotts City, MO.
