Kurt Alfred Haase, Sr., age 66 of Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
Kurt was born October 21, 1950 in Westedeta, Germany, to the late Alfred F. Haase and Wanda Torman Haase. He graduated from Omaha Technical High School in Omaha, Nebraska. Kurt traveled the U.S. with his career as a packer and processor in the beef industry. Many of those years, he was employed with Service Packing Company in Joplin.
On July 6, 2010, he married Karen Coad in Miami, Oklahoma. Karen survives of the home in Carl Junction.
Additional survivors include a son, Kurt Haase, Jr. and wife, Dawn of Oronogo, Missouri; daughters, Virginia Dunn and husband, Joe of Carl Junction, Jackie Haase of Carl Junction; sisters, Waltraut Kozal of Greenfield, South Carolina, Ursula Geary of North Platte, Nebraska, Kathe Heye and husband, Rob of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Ruth Baker of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, Giodo Haase and wife, Susan of Joplin; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brian Dunn and Faron Haase; numerous extended family and friends.
Other than his parents, Kurt was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Haase and two sisters, Berbel Gilchrist and Hilda Bartman.
A Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday, October 21, 2017 with more details to come. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
