(From Parker Mortuary)Lynn Marie Kohl, age 78, of Joplin, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Freeman Hospital.
Lynn was born November 12, 1941 in San Bernardino, California to the late Robert and LaVerne (Simms) Parker.
Lynn was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Kohl on August 11, 1990 in Escondido, California, and they moved to Joplin shortly after.
Lynn was a dedicated wife and mother and spent her lifetime invested in caring for her family. Chuck and Lynn enjoyed traveling together and sharing meals at their favorite restaurants. Lynn had a creative eye and loved art and jewelry. She saw beauty in many things. Lynn was a faithful member of First Community Church in Joplin, where she was always willing to serve her church in any capacity. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lynn was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Dellenbaugh.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck Kohl, of Joplin; two sons, Robert Draper (Cheri Hofferth) of St. Louis and Todd Kohl of El Cajon, California; her grandson, Landon Dellenbaugh, of Escondido, California; and her sister, Jill Becker, also of Escondido.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at First Community Church in Joplin with Rev. Russell Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Galena. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Parker Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Community Church.
For those attending visitation and services, face masks are required and social distancing will be implemented.
