(From Clark Funeral Home)Jon Reagan passed away on July 2, 2021 at the age of 80. Jon was born on April 29th, 1941 in Noel, Missouri in his family home to Norman and Jewel Reagan. He attended school in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated high school in May of 1959.
He married his wife, Carolyn Marie Mills in 1961 and then furthered his education at Emporia State Teachers College, then completed his degree in biology from Abilene Christian University in 1962.
Jon was a teacher most of his working life. He taught in Beardstown, Illinois, Wamsutter, Wyoming, Noel and Neosho Christian School in Missouri. He also operated their family campground during the summer months at Blue Springs Resort in Lebanon, Missouri, all the while, raising his four children: Kim, Jon, Michael and Norman. Later, they were blessed to be foster parents to Donna, Krystal and David.
Jon and his children experienced the untimely death of Carolyn Marie Mills Reagan on December 19th, 1988. Jon met his wife, Vicki in 2004 and they were married on October 26th, 2006. They lived in Neosho, Missouri until October of 2017 when they moved to Excelsior Springs, Missouri to a charming cottage they both loved.
Jon's interest included: reading, learning, teaching, hunting, fishing, canoeing and playing music. Jon was a great musician and a skilled guitar player. Friends and family enjoyed hearing play guitar, sing and laugh. These memories will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren, grand nieces and nephews of Grandpa Jon singing, 'Little Red Riding Hood', the Wolf Version;' Louie, Louie';' All Around the Water Tank' and many more. Jon had immense knowledge and experience with guns and was a gun safety instructor.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, where he continued to grow and learn in Christ. He valued prayer and personal Bible study using his father's Bible.
Jon is preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn and his parents, Norman and Jewel.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki; his sister, Janice and husband, Robert Towell of Round Rock, Texas; his children, Kim of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jon, Jr. and wife, Shelia of Neosho, Michael and wife, Shannon of Austin, Texas and Norman of Tulsa, Oklahoma. As well as, Donna, David, Krystal and husband, Jeremy of Leeton, Missouri; sons, Jeremy and wife, Jennifer and Scott of Kansas City, Missouri. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Paige, Peri, Spencer, Sydney, Lauren, Jack, Aurora, Andrew, Jonas, Brianna, Hadley and Hudson. He will be lovingly remembered by many students he has taught throughout the years.
