Lynn Sartin

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Lynn (Reynolds) Sartin was born October 7, 1946, to Curtis an Nellie Jo (Neil) Reynolds. She began walking the streets of heaven on July 22, 2021, after a short illness.

Lynn spent her growing up years on the family farm north of Newtonia, Missouri. She was a tom boy and loved being outside with her dad, whether helping on the farm or riding horses.

She was a member of the last graduation class of Midway School- a part of the consolidated East Newton School. She then attended Southwest Baptist University obtaining a B.A. degree in music. She taught music in several area schools. She played piano and was involved in the music program in her church all her life.

She worked at Sale Hospital records department for a time, then worked at La-Z-Boy until her retirement. She then began her favorite career of raising puppies. She also enjoyed quilting and traveling. Her life was enriched by her wonderful grandchildren, who called her ‘Burr’. She fulfilled a lifetime dream of traveling to Australia with her oldest granddaughter. Lynn believed in the idea that a day spent with a grandchild was a day well lived.

Lynn and Dan Sartin were married on February 22, 1969, in Newtonia, Missouri and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2016.

Along with her husband, Dan, she is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Ann Reynolds. Lynn is survived by her children, Fawn Sartin, Derek (Jamie) Sartin, and Tara Sartin.
