Evelyn Bond

Evelyn Esther Bond, age 81, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation.

Evelyn was born August 11, 1939 in Iola, Kansas, daughter of the late Fred and Minnie (Lager) Renier. She grew up in Kansas City, and graduated from Rosedale High School, and then attended Kansas City Business College. 










She married Franklin Bond on February 5, 1956 in Kansas City. They moved to Joplin in 1966 and she worked for the Teamsters Local #823 in their insurance department. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Joplin Congregation.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Bond on May 2, 2016, a son, Franklin Bond, Jr.; a brother, Don Renier, and a sister, Leona Schultz.

Survivors include her children Franki Haizlip (Trenton) of Midlothian, Texas, Deana Hines, Brian Bond, Robert Bond all of Joplin; grandchildren, Brooke Brown (Cody Oates) of Coffeyville, Kansas, Hailey Couch of Joplin, Hope Hines of Galena, Kansas, Chelsea Smith (Jared) of Midlothian, Carley Benninghoff (Jack) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Becca Couch, Hermione Couch, Aurora Oates, Delaney Oates, Blayze Smith, and Jonas Hines; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews including Michele Hanchett (Chuck) of Rogers, Arkansas.

Graveside services will be Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Burkhart Cemetery, Racine, Missouri with Larry Danhke, Gospel Preacher officiating.
