(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mrs. Linda Kay Whittle, 69, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in the comfort of her home.
Linda entered this life on May 25, 1952, in Bentonville, Arkansas, born to the union of the late James Alfred and Wanda Mae (Mattingly) Townsend. She was raised and attended school in Bentonville. She resided in Northwest Arkansas until moving to Anderson, Missouri, in 1992.
On July 3, 1993, she was united in marriage to Ronald John Whittle and together they shared twenty-four years before his passing on January 12, 2018. Throughout her life she worked in the field of home healthcare. She loved her family, caring for others, had a heart for animals, enjoyed butterflies, hummingbirds and spending time in her flowerbeds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Whittle; and two brothers, Dennis and Tommy Townsend.
Linda is survived by her two children, Debbie Olmstead and Keith Jones both of Anderson; two grandchildren, Brittany Anderson and A.J. Jones; two great grandchildren, Ava and Dennis Dewayne “Bubby”; a brother, Buddy Townsend of Seligman, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at Anderson Cemetery with Pastor Darren Robbins officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Kevin King, Jamie Townsend, James Anderson, Robert Owens, Mike Whitley and Brittany Anderson.
