Lee Franklin

Everett “Lee” Leland Franklin, 83 of Neosho, entered into rest on July 23, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness. 

Lee was born May 27, 1938 in Lockwood, Missouri and graduated from Golden City High School. He had worked at Vickers as a machinist, for Carter Farms and then in maintenance at Crowder College, retiring in 2019 at the age of 81. Lee enjoyed fishing and being with his family and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. 








Lee and Darlene (Sanders) were married on May 29, 1959 and they shared 61 years together before her death on April 12, 2021. 

Lee is survived by two daughters, Cindy Knight (John Moser) of Joplin and Charlotte (Lloyd) Busker of Neosho; five grandchildren, Ryver (Ashley) Franklin of Neosho, Missouri, Seth Franklin of Neosho, Missouri, James Elder of Neosho, Missouri, Lindsey (Kyle) Hamilton of Miami, Oklahoma and Kayla (Jesse) Koff of Joplin, Missouri; eight great grandchildren, Kynlee and Brecken Hamilton of Miami, Oklahoma, Wyatt and Mason Elder of Neosho, Missouri, Jadelyn, Destiny and Nova Franklin of Neosho, Missouri and Sophie Bousquet of Joplin, Missouri and a brother, Wayne (Roberta) Franklin of Butler, Missouri. 

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by a son, Doug Franklin in 2002 and his grandparents who raised him, Beulah and Oliver Woods.
