(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Ruby E. (Crocker) Pearman, 85, passed away July 10, 2021, in Carthage, MO. Ruby was born May 16, 1936 on a family farm in Gas, Kansas to Ed and Lola Crocker.
Ruby was a longtime Carthage resident living there for over 60 years. She was a 1954 graduate of Moran, KS High School and worked at the LP Gas Company in Iola, KS. She moved to Carthage, MO in 1960.
From 1968 to 1975 she was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for Max Hahnen Real Estate and Insurance Company. Ruby was a housewife and mother. In her spare time she was an accomplished seamstress and loved to flower garden. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church, Carthage, MO where she was active in the Altar Guild and Women’s Circles. In the 1980’s she attended and studied history at Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS.
Ruby was united in marriage to Calvin L. Pearman July 22, 1955 in Iola, KS and was married for over 60 years.
Ruby is survived by two daughters Debra Naysee, and Lisa Qualls and husband David; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Calvin, and two brothers, Franklin Crocker and Charles Crocker.
Private family services will be held Thursday, July 15th with Pastor Justin Jahanshir officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
