(From White Funeral Home)Danny “Gene” Eugene Mason, age 74, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Mr. Mason, son of Woodrow and Anna Mae (Roller) Mason, was born on January 24, 1947, in Washburn, MO.
Danny attended Wheaton School and then joined the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong truck driver traveling all over the US and helped build the Alaskan Pipeline.
Danny owned a milk route for Kraft Foods in the Barry County area where many lasting friendships were made. He had a giving heart and he loved his family dearly. Danny knew Heaven awaited him because he knew Jesus as his Savior.
Survivors include his son, Clint Mason and his wife Cheryl, of Rocky Comfort; daughter, Traci Mitchell and her husband Scott, of Wheaton; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Mason, of Goodman, and James Mason and his wife Pam, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one sister, Virginia Easley, of Rocky Comfort; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie Mason, Donnie Mason, and Jerry Mason.
Memorial services with full military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021, at King Cemetery in Seligman, with Brother Scott Mitchell officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Danny to Hospice Compassus or Monett V.F.W. Post #4207, and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
